IPCC Symposium in Kuala Lumpur Bridging climate science and policy to accelerate action

The British High Commission in Kuala Lumpur, in partnership with Malaysia Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, will host an outreach event focused on climate science and policy. This event follows the IPCC Scoping Meeting for the Seventh Assessment Report, which takes place in Kuala Lumpur from 9 to 13 December 2024 and brings together global climate experts, including IPCC Chair Jim Skea and the IPCC Bureau.

This event offers a unique opportunity for Malaysian scientists to engage with the IPCC process, helping to shape future climate policy while bolstering the role Malaysia plays in addressing the climate crisis.
