The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) held a day-long regional outreach event aimed at strengthening support for the IPCC process across the Asia and South-West Pacific regions.
This event took place on Sunday, 29 March in Bangkok, immediately following the 64th Plenary Session of the IPCC (IPCC-64), and brought together IPCC National Focal Points alongside academic and research representatives from across the region.
The event objectives were to:
- Build a robust science-policy network across Asia and the South-West Pacific
- Increase awareness of IPCC processes and engagement pathways
- Strengthen regional contributions to the seventh assessment cycle and beyond
This event is supported by the Ministry of the Environment, Japan, and co-hosted by the UNEP Asia Pacific Adaptation Network (APAN).
